Hello (Dzien Dobre) Krakow!

Hello there everyone! We made it…we are in Poland for the next two years minimum. Krakow so far is a charming town. It has been very hot so far (A/C isn’t really a thing in apartments), and we have lots of learning to do about our jobs, but we think we’re going to like it here.
Hazel and Stanley are hesitantly settling in to our new apartment. There have been a few disputes over who gets to lay on the comfy pillow and the pile of sleeping bag—which Hazel always wins, and Stanley doesn’t know he was in until it happens. Stanley loves the terrace we have.
Here are a few views from around where we live:
-the path along the river (Lisa is referring to it as her running path)
-the walls of the Wawel Castle.
-A view of the same castle from our side of the river (a 10 minute walk from our house).
We have gotten settled in ourselves. There are lots of places to go out to eat, a proper square near we live with a flower and fruit and vegetable market, and lots of vegetarian treats, including emotional power-up chocolate bars and ice cream and coffee.
Also, we got to meet all the other new teachers we will be teaching with next year. We have people from all over the English-speaking world working with us: Americans (Idahoans, Connecticuters, and various Midwesterners), Australians, and Canadians. The first week of school happened…and we have one week to meet all of our returning coworkers before we start school with students on August 28. Deep breath…
We are thinking of you, and hope that the end of the summer brings you some trips to the beach, the mountains, and to fun places in between.
Love,
Jeff and Lisa
Jeff is reading How to Sell a Haunted House and Leviathan Awakes. He watched The Flash. He is listening to YG, and Perhaps Contraption.
Lisa’s brain is too full to read right now. She hopes to return to it soon.
